I managed to survive another Arisia sci fi convention despite having a lingering head cold, a large lack of sleep, and a pretty decent intake of booze. Thankfully attending Arisia is nothing new to me so I was well aware and somewhat prepared for it. Considering I only had one panel to be on, this year was a cake walk compared to the ones I had attended in the past as part of the Rocky Horror cast that performs at the convention every year. Fall is almost here
I love fall. Not for pumpkin flavored crap of all kinds or even Halloween, although I do love Halloween. I love fall because I like the cooler weather. I’m not a fan of extremes so winter and summer can suck it in my opinion. I will happily take spring and fall every time. Read the rest of this entry
Arisia 2015
Arisia, for those of you who may not know, is a sci-fi convention held annually in Boston. Why they decide to hold it in January is beyond me but that’s what they do. I have been attending this convention Read the rest of this entry
Happy New Year… almost
Made it through Christmas pretty much unscathed thankfully. It was nice actually. I thought there was going to be no Christmas spirit at all and then found a bit a day or two before Christmas itself. Had a nice mas eve dinner at a great restaurant in Concord and then cooked an overabundance of holiday goodies on Christmas itself. It was quiet and relaxing, just the way I like my holidays to be.
Next up is New Years Eve which I’m betting will be quiet as well. Long gone are the days of looking for a party or some place fun to go. I’ve never been a fan of large groups of drunken people anyway, mainly because I know how much of an ass I an be when I’m drunk and around people. It’s much safer for all involved if I drink in a small group or alone.
After that it’s time to get nervous about my first ever panel appearance at Arisia on Jan 18th. I’m already kind of antsy about it so I’m sure I’ll be a wreck by the end of the first week of January, but it’ll be a blast I’m sure!
Editing is coming along on After the Storm, Ghosts and the cover is already done for that and the upcoming omnibus that will put the first three books together in one collected edition. Both should be out right after the new year I’m hoping.
Back to work with me, enjoy the rest of the holiday season!

Holiday season!
I tend to get behind this time of year with all the holidays coming one right after another. I’m trying not to let that happen this year. I’m still working on editing the new book but the cover is just about set with only a couple minor tweaks needed.
I’ve also been put on a self publishing panel at the Arisia sci fi convention coming up in January which is super cool and I’ve been putting together material for that as well. All in all its been fun and somewhat productive so back to work with me, Enjoy your weekend all! Oh yeah and here’s a look at the new cover!

Bah Humbug
It’s Christmas time again and that means winter and that means snow, well at least here in New England it does. To all of you that may be reading this from warmer climes… screw you Read the rest of this entry

Arisia 2013
I’ve had to put editing and rewrites on hold for a little bit in order to get ready for my appearance at the sci fi convention Arisia next week. I have to admit I am both excited and terrified about all this. I’ve Read the rest of this entry
Arisia 2013
So, if the Mayan calender is wrong and we make it to next year I will be attending the Arisia 2013 sci fi convention at the Westin hotel in downtown Boston. “I will be appearing” sounds too pretentious. Let’s just say I will be hanging out and hopefully, getting very drunk and possibly, a bit too friendly with a whole bunch of folks that I hope to turn into fans the weekend of January 18-21. My room will be somewhere on the fourth floor (the party floor) and i will be throwing the After the Storm party on Saturday night! If you’re in the area get your tickets. Arisia is always a great time! http://2013.arisia.org/
marketing and stuff
I was talking to a friend last night about the third book, writing and marketing. We both agreed that I should probably have a website sometime in the near future, I’m still not sure how this is going to help sales in the long run but it is a step in the right direction.
I’m still very shaky when it comes to marketing. I’m doing the normal twitter/Facebook stuff along with chatting with folks on goodreads and writing my blog, as you can tell. I’m just not sure where to go from here. I know as an indie author this is the hardest part, selling yourself. I have no qualms in doing in and used to believe that my ego would be fine with doing something like this. I quickly discovered that I find it distasteful. I feel bad trying to sell folks on the idea of buying my book. It’s almost embarrassing. I believe in my self and the books I write I just think that I tend to be a far more private person than I thought I was. Read the rest of this entry
